Raglans first game was against the mighty St Andrews, the reigning champions. Despite a positive start, St Andrews came from behind to win the match 15-12. There were plenty of encouraging signs though. Alex scored a staggering eight tries on debut and Sean scored a further four.

The second match was up against Hazlewood who proved to be another tough opposition. Despite the game being neck and neck throughout, Hazlewood took advantage of a mistake right at the end to win the game 12-10. Despite the defeat, there were more signs of improvement as Alfie went on to score 4 tries, while Alex continued his prolific try scoring. [10-12]

Match 3 The Rhinos came up against George Spicer in their final game of the afternoon. Raglan had come out as winners in the 3rd placed playoff the week before so confidence was high. Unfortunately the first half didn’t go the Rhinos way, with George Spicer taking full advantage of some poor Raglan defending to go in at half time 7-3 up. Fortunately the Rhinos pulled themselves together in the second half and thanks to some brilliant attacking play from Izzy and Emeke managed to salvage a 10-10 draw.
