Police & Parking Visits
Watch your speed on Wellington Road as the police will be returning over the next week and will issue speeding tickets rather than giving out warnings. Parking enforcement is also scheduling extra patrols around the school so please remember to park legally. Mr Kelsey has met with our local neighbourhood team, two local councillors and traffic police over the last week.
A working group of teachers, governors and parents have met several times to draft a policy for the new Relationships Education. The school will be an early adopter of Relationships Education from September 2019 and the policy will be compulsory for all children from 2020.
The next stage is to consult more widely with parents on our new policy and to do so we will be shortly sending out the draft policy with a questionnaire and we are holding a consultation meeting on Wednesday 3rd July at 6pm to outline the policy. There will also be an opportunity to look at some of the books that will fit with the different units of work. Further details will be sent home soon, but please make a note of the date if you are interested in attending the meeting.
Year 1 and 4 Class Changes

Summer Fair - Volunteers needed
We need volunteers to run the stalls at the fair! Did you know we have already raised approximately £2,000 from sponsorship, stall payments and advertising. The children are starting to get excited about the fair, football competitions are under way but it won't go ahead unless we get more helpers. Children can help or tag team with another parent and share childcare for an hour. Please sign up today at http://www.volunteersignup.org/DHCFA We will be in touch next week to let you know which stall you will be working on.
Summer Fair, 28th June 3-6pm

Thanks to everyone that brought in items for the Cash for Clothes collection. It was touch and go but we managed to squeeze everything into the van before the rain started. It takes a few weeks to process the payment but we'll let you know when we hear how much was raised.
