A warm welcome back a new academic year and a special hello and welcome to all our new families joining us. We had a lovely first day yesterday and it was a joy to see the pupils again all looking smart and ready for their new classes.
We have an exciting year ahead of us as we further develop areas of the curriculum beyond the core areas. We will be sharing our aims for the year and providing further information at our Parent Information Evenings next week. Please make every effort to attend these so you can be aware of what the children will be doing this year.
For new parents, this publication is the Weekly News which is emailed to you each Wednesday and is an ESSENTIAL read for parents to stay well informed. When some parents tell me, they don't know anything about a certain matter or event, it is often because they haven't read the Weekly News, so please take a few minutes to read it.
Our website is kept up to date and is phone friendly, so please add it to your favourites. There is also an app called School News which is free to download. This will push out any news items to your device that are posted on the school website. You can also access the calendar from the app too.
We are finalising our Clubs & Activities programme which will be published next week with a start date of 23rd September. For junior pupils interested in trying out for the house cup teams, these trials begin next week.
Of course not all our pupils have started yet. We will see Reception children starting next week and followed by the Nursery pupils the week after. Teachers are currently visiting new pupils at home.
Finally, you will find below links to the updated Parent Handbook (copies at the office) and information on the new booking system for Raglan Wrap Club. Initially, feedback seems to suggest this has been well received.
