Due to the fading light in the evenings, please note that Raglan Sports Cup clubs (Netball, Football, Tag Rugby) will now finish at 4.30pm
We are selling poppies and other items on behalf of The Royal British Legion this week. Children will be able to buy them at breaktimes.
Children In Need
On Friday 15th November we will be fundraising for Children In Need! Children are allowed to come into school in non-uniform for a contribution of £1. We will also be holding our annual Children In Need 20p fair during the school day. Children can bring 20ps into school to spend at the fair.
Please return your forms as soon as possible, even if you don’t want your child to have it. Please check your child’s bag to make sure their form has been handed in. Vaccinations cannot be given unless we have received the forms.
As the weather is getting colder, please ensure your child has appropriate clothing for PE as lessons continue outside all year round. The PE Team recommends tracksuit bottoms, leggings, thermal top or skins, school jumper and an additional jumper or hoodie in additional to their PE uniform.
Those pupils taking part in the Raglan Sports Cup are strongly recommended to wear skins and appropriate footwear (Studded or moulded boots for rugby and football). We are happy to provide your child with a pair of boots for free if they don't have any. All we ask is that they are returned once your child has outgrown them.
Composer Challenge (KS2)
In KS2 Singing Assemblies, we have a monthly Composer challenge. For November the challenge is ‘Research 5 more films for which Hans Zimmer has composed the music’. This is such a worthwhile activity in which to participate, so please encourage your child to take part.
Please come along to the very popular Book Fair on Monday 18th, Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th November in the Infant Dining Hall. Start your Christmas shopping early or maybe just increase your child’s own library. Prices start at £2.99 and the school earns a commission from every book sale.
The Book Fair is open on 18th November and today we are launching a competition to celebrate. Children are invited to write a book review of their most favourite book. It may be a favourite bedtime book, a book from the past or a current book that they are reading. It does not have to be a school book. There is no set format or layout so let the creative juices flow. There will be five winners who will each receive a £5 book voucher for use at the Book Fair. It can be used as part payment towards a book of higher value or used for a lower value book (no change can be given). All entries will receive a new gold star house point. Please send entries into your class teacher by Wednesday 13th November. Please make sure entries have your child’s name and class.
Thank you for all the sweet donations. Hopefully we prevented a few fillings along the way - sorry, dentists of Enfield. Thanks also to everyone who helped with Christmas Fair prep at the coffee morning last week. Sign-up details below for anyone who's able to help out with the Fair, either setting up or on the day.
Hopefully you have now received your Christmas raffle rickets. If not, please let your class rep know. If so, please GET SELLING! There are 50 fantastic luxury hampers to win and this year one of them will contain a £100 CASH PRIZE!
