Meet The Teacher
Our next Meet the Teacher evenings will be held on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th February. Parents and Carers should have now received an email with their log in details to book an appointment online. As ever we are aiming for 100% attendance so please do make the time to meet the teacher. If you are unable to make either date please contact your class teacher.
Organising clubs for 645 pupils is a mammoth task and many are popular and oversubscribed which means some children are left disappointed, although a good 95% of children get their first choice. It is disappointing that so far around 45 pupils did not turn up to clubs they were allocated and places are now left empty.
Please let us know if you do not intend to take up the club so we can give a place to someone who is keen to take it. When making your choices please include your child in the decision-making process, which will reduce the number of children changing their minds.
There are a few issues when collecting from after school clubs. We are having many children being collected late. Please be aware that, Infant clubs finish at 4.10pm and Junior Clubs finish at 4.20pm. All inter-house clubs finish at 4.30pm. If you are unsure of collection points please Click here for the clubs booklet.
Please ensure that you are making bookings for any sessions on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We have found that these days are increasingly popular and we cannot book you in if we are at full capacity.
The Magic Booking system will not allow you to make a booking if your account is in arrears. If you are not sure if your account is in arrears you can log into the system to check. Please click here to check, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. If accounts remain in arrears we will not be able to accept your booking.
Please check your Junk box for emails from the Magic Booking system
Half term Camp
There will be a February Half-Term Camp, hosted here at The Raglan Schools and delivered by Pro Elite. Pro Elite are known members of the school community running 6 clubs for us at school and sessions here on the weekends.
After the success of the last camp, we have gone one step further, offering a variety of activities for the children to enjoy, including Tennis, Arts & Crafts, Football, Dance, Gymnastics, Theatre Performing and American Sports among others.
As well as this, each child will take home a trophy each day there is a sporting activity and will be able to take home what they make on the arts & crafts day!

In KS2 Singing Assemblies, we have a monthly composer challenge. For January the composer of the month was Antonio Vivaldi, with the focus piece of music being ‘Winter’ from ‘The Four Seasons’. The composer challenge was to find 3 other composers who have been inspired by nature. Thank you and well done for all the commendable and innovative entries. After much deliberation the winners were: Andrew T, Olivia and Leyla.
This is such a worthwhile activity in which to participate, so please encourage your child to take part in the next challenge.
If you would like your child's musical exam achievement to be mentioned in the weekly news, please email the details to Mrs Campaniello c/o The Music team email@example.com
