Martin Kelsey-Hatton
Executive Headteacher
B.Ed. Hons (Cantab) NPQH, MCCT
Martin has been a primary teacher for over 30 years and a Headteacher for 18 years at 3 different schools. He has been leading at Raglan since 2012, about a year after the two schools federated. Taking the schools through a challenging period, both schools were previously assessed as Requires Improvement and are now Outstanding (Infants, 2024) and Good (Juniors, 2019).
After completing his B.Ed. in Music and Education at Homerton College, Cambridge University, he started his teaching career in 1994 in Peterborough. After roles at Thorpe Primary and Eyrescroft Primary, Martin moved to Brampton Junior School in Cambridgeshire, where he would develop his leadership roles through to Acting Headteacher.
Martin's first substantive headship was at Warboys Primary in Cambridgeshire in 2007, moving the school from a failing position to one of improvement and stability.

Claire Daly
Deputy Headteacher
BEd. Hons, MA Education
Claire has been a primary teacher for 14 years and has been working at Raglan since 2014, when the school was still going through a period of great change. When she joined her key focus was strengthening teaching and learning across both schools, whilst helping to build the leadership capacity amongst middle and senior leaders .
After completing a B.Ed with a specialism in English and SEN, Claire worked at Lark Rise Primary School, where she enjoyed many middle leadership opportunities, which included Key Stage Leader and SENco. Following on from this she moved to St Nicholas C of E School where she progressed from AHT to DHT. This then led to a key role in Barnet LA as a Literacy consultant; leading national initiatives and supporting schools that ofsted had graded as inadequate or RI. She then went back into a school which she had been supporting and enjoyed working at Fairway Primary School as a DHT. This school provided opportunities to work closely with the school's children's centre, helping to strengthen her love for the Early Years.
At Raglan I have loved the opportunity to work with a huge range of staff and I am incredibly proud of the quality of teaching and learning that all staff provide. All staff really care about the children in their care and I feel very lucky to be part of a team who always put the children at the heart of the decisions that they make. The children are an absolute pleasure to teach and genuinely care about their school.

School Business Manager
Terrance Cheung
Running two schools is challenging in many ways and we have our School Business Manager to support the non-teaching side of leading a school. Overseeing finance, premises, HR and much more.
Middle Leaders
We have eight amazing leading teachers, one in each year, including Nursery that are as the title suggests, leading the teaching and learning within their year group. They are exemplary teachers themselves and support their teams to get the best outcomes for our pupils. They also play a key role in the curriculum, taking lead roles within our Curriculum Teams.
Class Teachers
With 31 classes across the schools, we have a great team of class teachers delivering the curriculum and nurturing our pupils throughout the year. As a 4-form entry school (3 in the Nursery) teachers work collaboratively to support each other and share the workload of planning in particular. Teachers also support the curriculum in different ways often assigned to a Curriculum Team to look at the wider view of each subject and how it progresses through the school.
Specialist Teachers
We have specialist teachers in PE, Music, Art and Computing who have non-class-based roles. They not only teach their subject across the primary phase, but they also support and train staff to improve their knowledge and skills within those subjects. Our PE team is made up of 5 people including a PE Teacher, two Sports Coaches and 2 Apprentice Sports Coaches. Collectively the specialist teachers provide a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities, which means we have an amazing offer of clubs and activities for our pupils.
Teaching Assistants
Around 45 teaching assistants support pupils with additional needs across both schools and also support the early foundations in Nursery and Reception. Two Senior TAs support the leadership team and other staff seven Leading Teaching Assistants act as key role models, supporting new staff and taking a lead on interventions.
Lunchtime Supervisors take a key role at lunchtime supporting pupils through the lunch break encouraging good eating and outside games and play.
SUPPORT STAFF
Finally at the heart of the school are the support team who are often busy in the background ensuring that things run smoothly. This includes the office team, HR and Finance team, Site team and Welfare Team.
