Update - Friday 18th September 2020
Following advice from the Public Health Team the decision has been made for all the Year 3 classes to self-isolate for 14 days. I have written to the Year 3 parents separately.
Public Health, like myself, do not believe this case is linked to our previous case on the 4th September. It is unfortunate but coincidental that it has affected the same year group. We also took advice on what changes we could make going forward to prevent a future whole year group closure. We will be reflecting on those and I will give feedback to parents in due course.
I will also continue to remind everyone of the government guidelines that we all must follow outside of school in order to prevent the virus spreading in our school community. This is challenging, especially as the virus does not always lead to a person displaying symptoms.
I would like to thank you for your support and whilst this presents challenges for you at home and us in school, we will do our best to keep the learning going for our pupils as we recognise the importance of school for children's education and wellbeing.
Please keep us updated over the weekend of any
- new symptoms in your child
- confirmed contact with a positive person - child or household
- positive results - child or household
- any confirmed negative results
You can report all of these by clicking here (better than email over the weekend)
