Key Worker or EHCP?

Are you a Key Worker? Does your child have an EHCP?

As you will be aware schools will be closed to most pupils from Monday. However, the school will remain open for as long as it can for some pupils.

Tomorrow (Friday) the school will close at 3.10/3.20pm but pupils who have been absent can collect reading books and exercise books between 3.45pm and 4.30pm (see below)

Childcare for Pupils of Key Workers

We are planning to open the school next week for those parents who are key workers who require essential childcare going forward. At this stage of writing we are still waiting for a definitive list of those jobs. We want to plan over the coming days and need a sense of how many children this could be.

If you can answer YES to this statement, please complete the Google Form below.

I am a key worker who would not be able to do my job without essential childcare from the school.

Children with an EHCP (Education Health and Care Plan)

The government is asking schools to continue to support pupils with an EHCP and we are planning to support those parents where this is needed. We have 30 pupils across the school with an EHC plan and we will support you in one of two ways:

  1. Provide an individual plan and ideas for continuing learning at home

  2. Provide provision in school

  3. A mixture of both

If your child has an EHCP, please complete the form below.

Vulnerable Pupils

The government is asking schools to continue to support vulnerable pupils, which would be pupils who currently have or have previously had involvement with social care. This includes looked-after, adopted pupils and those with a special guardianship. We will contact those parents separately to see if you would like your child to attend the childcare provision starting next week.

All other Pupils - Home Learning

We will be writing to all other parents with details of the Home Learning that we have planned. This will look different for each year group and will be monitored and updated by the teachers over the coming weeks. Today and tomorrow we will be sending home extra reading books and an exercise book or packs.

If your child is not in school then you can ask someone else to collect or you can come between 3.45pm-4.30pm on Friday to collect these. You may wish to bring your child so they can pick their reading books.

Once we have all the information we will be offering places to children who qualify for the provision. This will happen on Friday or over the weekend.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation at this most unusual of times.
