Children in Need - Friday 17th November 2017
We will be having a dress down day and 20p fete on Friday 17th November to raise money for Children in Need. If children come to school in their own clothes they need to bring a donation of £1. We will also be running a 20p fete. This will take place in the hall on Friday afternoon and the children will be able to spend their 20p coins on a variety of different stalls run by each class. Please send your child to school on Friday 17th November with some 20p coins to spend them at the fete.
Online Safety Day
On Monday 20th November we will be having an Online Safety Day. Pupils will have workshops at an age appropriate level regarding staying safe online. The staff are also having training on this day and there is a workshop for parents between 9am-10am or 5pm and 6pm on this day.
I would urge you to attend one of the workshops as it is clear that growing up in a digital age is becoming more and more challenging for young people. Each year we have more and more incidents between pupils that occur online out of school, often mean messages or inappropriate language in a group chat. Whilst it is clear children can use the technology, many do not possess the social and emotional skills to deal with the online world.
The workshop for parents is 60 minutes and will provide the latest information on keeping children safe online. If you would like to attend, please complete this form. Raglan pupils can be dropped off to the Wrap Club for the 5pm-6pm session, free of charge. Please note the workshop is for parents.
Individual School Photos
If you wish to order a school photo please ensure any orders are given to the office by 9.00am on Friday 17th November. Any orders after this date will have to be sent direct to the photographer.
Pupil information Sheets
We are still waiting for some pupil information sheets to be returned. If you have mislaid the copy you have been given please request another copy from the office. Please ensure we have 3 emergency contacts.
Just a reminder that hair accessories should be plain blue, navy or black. Bows and other decorative headwear should not be worn during school hours. Thank you for your co-operation.
After School clubs
If your child is attending an After School club that you need to pay for, please can you check that you have paid for it.
Despite a couple of attempts at finding a date for our Curriculum Evening we have decided to move it to January in the Spring Term. The evening is a variety of workshops across a range of areas including Reading, Phonics, written Maths, Computing and Well-Being. Once we have fixed a date and checked we have no other clashes, we will open the bookings.
