Run to Tokyo
Run To Tokyo is continuing again this week. We look forward to seeing KS2 by the field at 8.30am. Years 3/4 on Mondays and Wednesdays and Years 5/6 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Key Stage 1 pupils have an opportunity at playtimes.
We will be saying farewell to Mrs Socratous at the end of the month, she is leaving Raglan to spend more time with family and also to prepare for the arrival of a new baby. Anthea has spent her teaching career at Raglan and rose to the position of Assistant Headteacher following the federation. I'd like to thank Anthea for all her hard work and commitment to Raglan, she will be missed as a valuable member of the Leadership Team. If you would like to contribute to the leaving gift for Mrs Socratous, please leave any donation at the office.
Summer Term Clubs
Information about our After School Clubs for this term will be sent out shortly. Please ensure that your child wants to attend a particular club and that they are able to attend on the day the club is running as we waste a lot of time cancelling and re-offering places afterwards.
Next week we will be having eggs from the Happy Chick Company coming into school. There will be opportunities for all the children in Year 1, Year 2, Reception and Nursery to come and look at the eggs, watch them hatch and see how the chicks change as they grow. Year 1 in particular will be doing work linked to the life cycle of the chicks. You will also be able to follow their progress on the school website as we will be posting pictures of them. It will be a great opportunity for you to talk with your children about the changes they notice and to see how quickly the changes happen!

Cancellations are not permitted once a booking has been made as per the terms and conditions of provisions. If you have any queries please contact email@example.com. A reminder that children must be collected promptly by 6.00pm. Any late collections have be arranged beforehand and must be no later than 6.15pm. To contact Wrap Club during Wrap hours please call 07841 455439.
Parent Safeguarding Training
If you think you may be supporting a class on an educational visit at any time, but especially this half term you will need to have done our parent safeguarding training. We will be running training on Monday 23rd April at 3.30pm. You will need to let the office know if you are attending the training. The training will be valid for three years, so if you think your last training was some time ago you may want to attend this training session to make sure you are up to date.
Please ensure that your child comes to school in the correct uniform. All children should be wearing black shoes, trainers should only be worn at play/lunchtime or during PE sessions. Colourful hair accessories i.e bows/headbands are not part of the school uniform and therefore should not be worn. A waterproof coat must be in school at all times as children may be outside when it is raining.
Thankfully we have some sunshine at last! Children should be sent to school wearing sun cream and a sun hat. Children should also have a bottle of water in school at all times.
Thank you all of those who have signed up for the extended nursery provision. We have now issued the invoices for parents. Could you please advise the office on dates on which payments will be made. If you would like to pay via childcare vouchers or tax free childcare please email details of your provider to firstname.lastname@example.org - this will be forwarded to the School Business Manager who will be able to deal with this.

If your child needs a pair of astroturf, moulded or studded boots, they can grab a pair for free in the Yr 5/6 playground every Friday afternoon. Thank you so much to everyone that has donated a pair already. If you have any boots that no longer fit your children, we would be very grateful for any donations.
