Play Equipment

Could you please ensure that when you are leaving the premises in the morning and afternoon that your children are not on the play equipment. We are glad that the children are enjoying the new equipment but this needs to be supervised at all times.

Equipment Left On Site

The school will not be held responsible for bikes or scooters left on site overnight. Please be mindful of this and collect your belongings at the end of the day.

Medication

Reminder to return any medication sent home from school at the end of  the Summer term that is needed again this year. All medication must be in the original packing with the prescription label on. If you have any questions or queries please ask for the Welfare Team at the main office.

Raglan Summer Reading Competition

Please send your Summer Reading Challenge photos in by Friday 21st September.

School Dinners

Children in Year 3 to Year 6 need to pay for School Dinners unless they are on Free School Meals (all children in Infants have Universal Free School meals which is different).  If you think you are entitled to Free School Meals please click here. Please ensure you have credited your child’s Junior Parentpay account. Your child’s account should be in credit at all times.

Pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 all receive a hot meal at lunchtime as part of the Universal Free School Meals grant. This has naturally resulted in fewer parents applying for “Free School Meals” However if you qualify, please do apply as this means the school receives further funding. We use this money to support those parents with the cost of visits and breakfast club and other school expenses.

Influenza Immunisation - Year R to Year 5

The flu letters have been sent home. Please can they be returned even if your decision is not to take up the vaccination offer. Any queries should be directed to the school welfare team whose details are on the letter.

Reception Parents Coffee Morning - Friday, 21st September

After drop off, please come along to the Infant Refectory (doors face onto the field) and meet other parents/carers while enjoying some home made cake and coffee. There will also be a chance to buy second hand uniform and hear more about the RSA.

Annual General Meeting - Friday, 5th October

As we are a registered charity we are required to have an annual AGM.  This will be held on Friday, 5th October from 9-10am. Every parent at Raglan is an automatic member of the RSA and therefore welcome to come along.  We would love to see you there. There will also be coffee and cake :)

At the AGM we vote-in a committee who have responsibility to coordinate activities for the year.  Anyone can be nominated for any of the positions including; Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Vice Treasurer and Secretary. If more than one person is nominated for a post, then those present at the meeting will vote.  The person with most votes will be elected. We do know that we don't yet have any nominations for the role of Treasurer.

If you would like to be the Treasurer or know someone else who might like to take this on (or any of the other roles), please contact us at raglanschoolassociation@gmail.com and we can give you more details about what it involves.  Any of the roles can be shared. We will ensure there is a handover to help you settle into the role and we are around if you have any questions.

In order to nominate someone please go to our webpage or Classlist where we will be posting a nomination form.  These nomination forms should be returned to the School Office by Thursday, 4th October by end of the day.
